Famous violinist Prabhakar Jog died at his residence in Maharashtra on Sunday as a result of age-related points, sources near his household stated. He was 89. He had carried out greater than 80 solo programmes as a part of ‘Ganare Violin’ exhibits in India and Dubai. Prabhakar Jog, who labored as a musician and composer for greater than six a long time, had made important contributions to Marathi and Hindi movie music.
Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray condoled his demise. The music subject has misplaced a real “sadhak“, the CM stated in a press release.
On the age of 12, Prabhakar Jog began enjoying violin in music exhibits as he confronted an ”earn and study” scenario following the surprising demise of his father. He later labored as an assistant to musician Sudhir Phadke (who was standard as Babuji). The songs in Geet Ramayana sequence have the violin tunes of Jog.
He accompanied Phadke for round 500 exhibits of Geet Ramayana. In movies, he received his first break as a violinist within the Marathi film Shri Gurudevdatta. He was a recipient of many awards and honours, together with the celebrated Gan Samragni Lata Mangeshkar Award for lifetime achievement in 2015. Lata Mangeshkar paid tributes to Jog on Twitter.
“I’m saddened to listen to that the nice violinist and musician Prabhakar Jog has handed away right this moment. Could God grant peace to his soul,” the 92-year-old singer tweeted in Marathi.
